The objective of the Irish Musicians of America is the promotion of Irish traditional music in all its forms; restoration of the playing of fiddle, viola, cello, button accordion, piano accordion, piano, harp, harmonica, uilleann pipes, banjo, tin whistle, flute, guitar, bouzouki, octave mandolin, mandola, mandocello, mandolin, bodhran, drum set, and bones and any other instruments commonly used to play traditional Irish music; to promote Irish traditional dancing and singing, poetry, recitation, storytelling, and literature; to cooperate with all bodies working for the restoration of Irish Culture; to foster the teaching of learning of the Irish language and customs; and to help establish a center for carrying out all the foregoing purposes.
